Chapter 7

Serena's call with her boss makes Charlie nervous. She can feel Serena's departure, like it's rattling against the front door.

Charlie turns on the TV to fill the silence, and Serena curls against her like a cat. It's not long before Charlie's hand finds Serena's bare pussy again. She fingers her softly for a few hours, burying her face against Serena's neck every time she comes. She keeps one arm wrapped around Serena's back, using her free hand and her teeth to tear the plastic seal on a bottle of bubble bath. Charlie dumps probably too much of it under the faucet stream.

"You sleeping?" she whispers to Serena.

Serena shakes her head slowly, not raising it from Charlie's shoulder.

Charlie smiles and kisses her nose. "You wanna climb in?"

Serena finally lifts her head to look at the tub. She gasps. "Yes! Oh, wow."

Before Charlie can stop her, she steps into the bath fully clothed, sinking to her neck. "Oh, you're supposed to—"

Serena looks at her and blinks, her shoulders suddenly bare and the sink full of her clothes.

Charlie gasps and takes half a step back. "Jesus Christ, Serena—"

"Sorry."

"It's fine." Charlie swallows. She's going to take some getting used to. The tub is full, so Charlie turns off the faucet and retakes her seat on the toilet.

"Are you getting in?" Serena asks.

"Did...you want me to?" Charlie asks. If Serena still isn't comfortable with Charlie seeing her naked, she sure shouldn't want her in the tub with her.

"That would be nice," Serena says. She runs her hands through the water, collecting a pile of bubbles and bringing them to her face to blow them from her palm.

"I, uh... Yeah, sure." Charlie stands and moves her hands to the buttons of her shirt. "Do you want me to take my clothes off?"

"Isn't that how baths work?" Serena asks innocently, but there's a glint of mischief in her eye.

Charlie smirks and unbuttons her shirt slowly. Serena's gaze follows her hands. She shrugs out of the flannel and drops it on the floor, leaving her in a sports bra.

She unbuttons her jeans next, having to wriggle out of them because her hips have a distinctly feminine curve. They've always made her insecure, but Serena licks her lips as soon as Charlie's pushed her jeans to her knees. Maybe her hips aren't so bad.
